With every new Star Wars movie, we seem to find a new droid that we all fall in love with. From R2-D2, to BB-8, to now D-0, the latest droid from “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”!
We caught him rolling into The Star Trader at Disneyland with two new merchandise items! Let’s check them out!
D-0 Droid Plush – $19.99
D-0 has made his way into plush form, just like R2-D2 and BB-8 have before them. This little droid is made with a shiny fabric to give off that metalic look of the droid.
The metal arm that keeps their head and body attached here are made out of a thinner fabric and stitched in to look like part of the droid.
D-0’s antenna is made out of a soft felt fabric, so when you’re cuddling this droid, you’re not poked and prodded. You can also see the mechanical gears printed in the fabric on the “face” of the droid.
The wires and ventilation on the droid are stitched in with a thick black cable yarn, adding a different texture to the overall plush.
If you’re looking for something not as adorable and more practical, you might be interested in the next D-0 item.
D-0 Droid Sipper – $22.99
This version of D-0 we don’t necessarily recommend cuddling with, unless you tend to need a drink in the middle of the night.
The details of this little droid are more prominent here on the sipper cup than on the plush, making this look a little bit more realistic as you carry around your beverage of choice.
Instead of the three antenna, we have a singular one as the straw.
Here we can see the gear-like face of the droid better. The little prongs that stick out could represent the antenna without poking guests while taking a sip.
The arm of the sipper doesn’t help keep the head attached like the plush does, but it does look a little bit more mobile than the felt arm we saw earlier.
Here, the head is removable from the neck, with the straw attached. The straw isn’t too long, as this sipper can only hold a fair amount of liquid.
The opening is shown here for you to fill with your beverage, so you can travel with D-0 and remain hydrated. This might be perfect for your travels to Batuu!
What do you think of this new droid? If you’re wanting something a bit more mobile, you might be interested in checking out Hasbro’s Interactive D-0 droid that was released as part of Triple Force Friday’s merchandise reveal. We can’t wait to see what sort of adventures D-0 gets up to with BB-8 in the future, but we can make our own with these latest merchandise items.
