Welcome back to the Magic Kingdom, and future home of TRON Lightcycle Run. As soon as we arrived at the park this morning, we were greeted by a brand new sign on the construction walls at the entrance. This is probably a sign that we should stop in a check in on the latest progress.

From what we can tell, the show building seems to be expanding outwards on one side. We can see a crew guiding new beams in place on a lower level area.

The columns located closer to Space Mountain are starting to take shape. These were rebar framework until recently, but now we can see the cement columns forming the outline of what could potentially be the entrance.

It looks like the framework on the roof is starting to come together, and several high reaches are out with crew members working on the outer structure, which means it’s only a matter of time before we have an enclosed building and can no longer see the track.

The TRON Lightcycle Power Run coaster is scheduled to open at Magic Kingdom in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021. Of course, if you can’t wait, you can watch our video of its sister attraction from Shanghai Disneyland here:

You can also check out Cast Member costumes and ride vehicles for the attraction here. We’re definitely excited for TRON to make its debut here, but until then, stay tuned to WDWNT for all the latest updates!

    • Since we’re still in hurricane season, perhaps they decided to hold off on reinstalling until they could safely assume they won’t have to remove it again in the near future.
