Disneyland Paris Closure Extended Through April 15 Due to Prolonged Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic Lockdown in France

Disneyland Paris officially closed earlier this month on Sunday, March 15, due to concerns over the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. While originally planned to remain closed through the end of the month of March only, new regulations in France have extended the country’s current lockdown, meaning the closure would have to run through at least April 15.

With the pandemic taking a huge toll on France, Italy, and Spain, national governments have had to take steps to further reduce the spread of the virus, including enacting stricter stay-at-home mandates and further extending any lockdowns.

Disney has yet to make any statements regarding the inevitable or implied park closure extensions concerning Disneyland Paris or any of its US-based resorts, like Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, despite local regulations also prohibiting any prospect of an early re-opening.

Just this morning, Tokyo Disneyland Resort announced a closure extension through April 20th.
