With numerous Disney Vacation Club Resorts and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground reopening on Monday, June 22, Disney’s on-site transportation teams have been revving up to welcome back guests. While the theme parks remain closed, complimentary transportation from Disney Resort hotels to Disney Springs will resume. Disney Springs area resorts, like Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, will have access to boats at limited operation, however most other resorts will simply rely on bus transportation to Disney Springs.
Today, we spotted a number of Disney buses stationed at each resort’s shade structure. The buses were parked, almost as if this were training or rehearsal for official reopenings.
While Disney Resort buses have often been the subject of many on-site transportation jokes and woes, words cannot describe how happy we are to see them back out in their natural habitat.
All through the queues, social distancing markers have been placed along the ground.
Guests move up to the next “Please Wait Here” sign as they travel through the queue.
Of course, the classic yellow “Please Wait Here” marker at the very top of the line remains. This marker holds guests closest to the bus entrance until the driver gives the all-clear to board.
Details on new bus guidelines, including social distancing within the vehicles and more, have yet to be released, but we expect to hear more (if not ride one of these ourselves) in the coming days. Are you looking forward to taking your next ride on a Disney Resort bus?
I’m looking forwarded to the time when I will feel comfortable enough to look forward to riding on a Disney Resort bus.
