Former Walt Disney World Cast Member Accused of Stealing Over $100,000 with Fraudulent Refunds

According to details released by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and reported by WESH, Jennifer “Jenny” Insuasti of Kissimmee, a former Guest Experience Services Coordinator at Walt Disney World, stole more than $100,000 from the company by issuing fraudulent refunds which were then deposited into bank accounts belonging to her, as well as her friends and family.

The FDLE says that Disney notified them of the suspect behavior and handed over 45 records of what they believed to be fraudulent credit, debit, and check refunds. These transactions took place over a two year span from March of 2016 thru June of 2018. Each refund ranged from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars.

Jennifer Insuasti is charged with grand theft and is currently being held, on $100,000 bail, in the Osceola County Jail. Investigators have stated that certain friends and family members of the suspect are also under investigation for grand theft and conspiracy, as they were the benefactors of a large portion of the stolen funds. However, no other arrests have been made at this time.

According to law enforcement, no guests were deprived of expected refunds, as old refund accounts were used as “cover” to funnel the funds into accounts belonging to the suspect and her associates.

  1. I have always wanted the opportunity to work for Disney, so when I read this kind of story it makes me very upset. Taking advantage of their position like this awlful!!

  2. Why someone would risk loosing g a good job over stealing……something that never goes too far .

  3. So SAD People damaging their reputation for just pennies. Disney is a great Company to work for and there is so much they give us the Cast Members. They don’t think of the consequences this will have in their career. They will never be able to get a decent job. And I’m sure they will loose the Benefits of enjoying the perks Disney give us for life after working there and retiering.
