We are back in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we sure are enjoying hunting for glitzy new merchandise in the shops up and down Hollywood Boulevard. Now, let’s head into Mickey’s of Hollywood, located on the corner of the street by Echo Lake, and see what new health and safety measures have been implemented since the park reopened.

You may remember that the store only recently underwent a massive overhaul, reopening with a swanky new interior in the fall.

Leading up to the store, floor markers have been installed to advise guests of where to queue up in case the store has reached capacity under new social distancing rules. The store is operating a one-way policy, with dedicated entrance- and exit-only doors.

Inside the store, a large space has been cleared, with more social-distancing floor markers installed leading up to the registers, where guests will queue to pay.

Hand sanitizer is available at both the entrance and exit to the store.

At the register, plexiglas screens have been mounted to the desk to help protect Cast Members and guests during the payment process. To help with social distancing, not every register is open.

  1. We are coming to Disney in August for a resort only trip. I don’t think the parks are worth the price until they can bring back our favorites like the fireworks, Main Street Trolley, Dapper Dans, Fantasmic. So happy to be moving forward and bringing much needed magic back to so many families.
