PHOTOS: The Haunted Mansion Materializes Modified Stretching Room Walk-Through Scene at the Magic Kingdom

The Haunted Mansion has made a spirited return at the Cast Member previews of the Magic Kingdom.

Certain modifications to the Gracey Manor tour have been made, leading to a grim change. First, let’s see how safety precautions affected the queue.

The interactive portion of the queue has been roped off for the moment, but social distancing markers visible on the ground suggests it could possibly reopen at a later date.

Be sure to keep your party six feet apart from others… Madame Leota sees all.

As we enter the mansion, we see that Cast Members are wearing face shields, as they’re allowed to do when adequate social distancing isn’t possible.

Unfortunately, social distancing has temporarily claimed the famed stretching room, which is currently being utilized as queue space.

It’s a sad sight to be sure, but for the health and safety of guests, even the Ghost Host must make some sacrifices. Guests can still take in the portraits in their fully stretched, corrupt mortal state:

Will you be visiting The Haunted Mansion in the near future, or will you wait until the attraction is back at full frightening strength? Let us know in the comments!

How does loading work now? Do they leave every other doom buggy empty?

Wonder how this will work at Disneyland where the stretching room isn’t just a room but an actual elevator.

Well they’ll NEVER get their 1,000th ghost this way.

The walk through stretching room will be harder to pull off at Disneyland, because the stretching rooms at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion also doubles as an elevator, so guests can go under the Disneyland Railroad tracks to the loading area without ruining the experience.

No way, I have no plans to go anywhere with crowds any time soon. Disney may be taking all the precautions they can, but people in this country aren’t taking this seriously, and I have no desire to be anywhere close to Florida right now!

I understand wanting to return to normal, and it seems Disney is doing as good of a job as possible, but no thanks. I’ll return when there’s a treatment, vaccine or the virus has run its course.

I’m glad they are making changes on the Haunted Mansion ride. To keep everyone safe.

And I can’t wait to see what changes on the Splash Mountain Ride too.

I wonder how will social distancing affect the Disneyland one. As that one need the picture room to get to the ride?
