BREAKING: “Disney Light the Night” Fireworks & “Nightfall Glow” Nighttime Parade Resuming September 1st at Tokyo Disney Resort

While Tokyo Disney Resort continues to operate in an adjusted state due to COVID-19, it seems we’re taking steps back towards normality as of late. Between reports of Cast Member previews beginning for the highly-anticipated The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast early next month, and announcements of food for Halloween, we’re slowly but surely returning to normal. And it seems the latest development is this: Tokyo Disney Resort will be the second resort (after Shanghai Disneyland) to resume nightly fireworks, and the first to resume nighttime parades! Disney Light the Night and Nightfall Glow are set to resume performances beginning September 1st!

Tokyo Disneyland Nightfall Glow

Disney Light the Night is the evening fireworks spectacular presented at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. The show is notoriously unreliable, as it can be cancelled due to even the slightest south winds. But the show will (attempt to) be presented nightly at 8:00pm across both parks.

Nightfall Glow, on the other hand is even more rare. Normally only presented on rainy evenings in place of Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade: DreamLights, the mini-parade consists of four floats. This will likely be a test for crowd handling before reintroducing Dreaming Up! and DreamLights. Performances are scheduled for 6:45pm nightly.

It’s nice to see Tokyo Disney Resort moving closer towards normality once again. The park notably returned without any entertainment except for a character greeting at both parks and their respective marching bands. No other shows are scheduled to return as of yet.
