The Splash Mountain saga continues as the attraction has now reopened after a brief temporary closure this morning at the Magic Kingdom. Just minutes ago, we reported that the attraction failed to open this morning, but after a brief period of log cycling, the attraction reopened to minor crowds at just a 5-minute wait.

Despite the reopening, the attraction still experienced some blips, including a temporary stop:

Guests waved as they remained stopped along certain portions of the ride. They’re certainly luckier and much drier than the guests who found themselves in a sinking log last night.

Despite reopening to an initial wait time of just 5 minutes, the attraction is now up to a 30-minute wait time at the Magic Kingdom. Many attribute the long waits at Splash not only to the sweltering summer heat, but the resurgence of fans looking to ride the attraction before it’s re-themed to Princess and the Frog.

Splash Mountain has had its fair share of trouble this summer, as the fan-favorite log flume attraction has seen a series of issues since the reopening of the Magic Kingdom—from long lines at the gift shop, to guests being evacuated on official reopening day, and a short stint of unexpected downtime.
