After chronicling the saga of the sunken Splash Mountain ride vehicle log since late last night, Walt Disney World has officially released a statement to Spectrum 13 regarding the incident.
“The incident happened toward the end of the ride and involved five visitors. All five visitors were able to get out of the ride vehicle safely.”

It’s still unclear exactly what led to the submerging of the ride vehicle. The attraction experienced a delayed opening this morning, but after a brief period of log cycling, the attraction reopened to minor crowds.
Splash Mountain has been a very popular attraction since the reopening of the Magic Kingdom not only due to the sweltering summer heat, but the resurgence of fans looking to ride the attraction before it’s re-themed to Princess and the Frog.
Splash Mountain has had its fair share of trouble this summer, as the fan-favorite log flume attraction has seen a series of issues since the reopening of the Magic Kingdom—from long lines at the gift shop, to guests being evacuated on official reopening day, and a short stint of unexpected downtime.

The statement does not tell me anything as to what went wrong with ride
Looking at how many people are going on this ride man I hope a miracle happens and they leave it alone. Listen to the fans not a small group.
