BREAKING: New Fantasyland at Tokyo Disneyland Including E-Ticket “The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast” Opening September 28th

The exciting 47,000 square meter expansion will include The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast as well as The Happy Ride with Baymax, a rethemed clone of Alien Swirling Saucers at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and The Big Pop popcorn shop. The Fantasyland Forest Theater, featuring the new Mickey’s Magical Music World show will open at an undetermined later date.

OLC provided this synopsis for The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast last year:

Guests step into the Beast’s castle located deep in the forest to experience the enchanted tale. In the first scene, the beautiful Belle encounters a prince who has been transformed into a beast by a powerful enchantress. Aboard enchanted cups that move and turn as if they are alive, guests travel through various scenes to experience the world of the film. There’s the banquet where they “dance” together with the dishes and cutlery to Lumiere’s singing; the snow-covered garden where they glide over the ice as Belle and the Beast find themselves growing closer. The castle is filled with magical moments and surprises, so guests will discover something new each time they visit. Will Belle and the Beast find love and thus break the spell before the last petal of the enchanted rose falls? Guests can look forward to the magical romance of The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast.

Admission to the land and its facilities will be limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. A new entry request system via the Tokyo Disney Resort App will be used for assigned time reservations at the new attractions and Minnie’s Style Studio greeting experience. In addition, entry to the new restaurants and shops will be limited to guests who have made advance reservations. Details on this system will be revealed later.

You can check out the food items coming to La Taverne de Gaston and LeFou’s in our post from last December. We also caught a glimpse at some of the merchandise to celebrate the expansion earlier this year, but details are yet to be revealed on what will be available.
