PHOTOS: Latest Progress on Play! Pavilion Roof Panel Replacement at EPCOT

It takes a lot of work to make the Play! Pavilion at EPCOT, so we’re stopping by to see how things are coming along.

Unlike our recent visits, we didn’t see any construction workers on the dome while we were there. We haven’t seen workers since Friday, and since it’s Labor Day, it’s possible they may have the extended weekend off.

From the side closer to Mission: SPACE, it looks like a vast majority of the roof panels have been removed, with work now spreading towards the side facing the site of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

The lack of workers does give us a rare, unobstructed look at the wooden boxes that have been strapped to the roof beginning in March. Looking back on when they first appeared, the wood has a far more weathered look now.

Still, progress has moved along steadily, at least as far as the panel replacement is concerned. It’s only a matter of time before we’ll be on interactive adventures with characters from The Incredibles or seeing the Mark X Monorail.
