Disney loves to deliver seasonal treats at their theme parks that draw us into the story of the season while thrilling our taste buds. With the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year, we’re glad to celebrate the fall season with the many creative treats that Walt Disney World Resort restaurants have to offer. Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort has joined the Halloween fun by serving their new Pumpkin Spiced Butter Pecan Shake. Literally, this treat has emerged as “the icing on the cake” (well, actually the cupcake) for the soda shop this Halloween.

This delectable shake is a pumpkin-spiced butter pecan shake with chocolate sauce and orange icing topped with a pumpkin cupcake and decorated with assorted chocolate pieces.

We ordered this lovely shake, noting the creative design. The pumpkin designed cupcake sits atop a flavorful pecan shake with pumpkin spice. We noticed right away that the pecan flavors dominate at first, but the pumpkin spice provides a pleasant aftertaste.

As with all things pumpkin spice, fans of the flavor will relish this shake.

We didn’t notice anything special about the vanilla cupcake. It tasted rather bland.

However, a lot of icing loaded the top of the cupcake, delivering an extra dose of sugary sweetness. It seemed a little too much. Of course, despite the icing overload, we thought it made an attractive picture.

Actually, pushing the cupcake down into the shake after drinking a good amount created a nice blend. The tasteless cupcake then absorbs the delicious pecan and pumpkin spice flavors. Of course, photos of that mixture remain unavailable, since the picture wasn’t pretty.

Look at those sprinkles. They added just the right touch to this Halloween treat!

Overall, this treat splashed just the right amount of Halloween on our visit to Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. The shake tasted flavorful and hit all the right notes of pecan and pumpkin spice without going overboard. Perhaps next time you visit Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, you can snatch up one of these.
