Halloween has arrived at the Magic Kingdom! Or at least, this year’s version of it. While today marked the grand debut of Halloween decorations at the park, it seems all that was installed between yesterday’s Fall wreaths and garland and today were the iconic Mickey jack-o’-lantern wreaths along the lampposts of Main Street, U.S.A. Nevertheless, these beloved pumpkins are always the first sign of Fall, and we’re delighted to see them back up against all odds given the ongoing pandemic. Let’s take a tour of this year’s Halloween decorations!

From outside the park, it’s worth noting that the Mickey floral has not yet been updated with pumpkins.

As you enter, the Mickey jack-o’-lantern wreaths welcome you into the park.

A word of warning for guests looking to experience Halloween decorations at the Magic Kingdom: Disney Park Pass availability is going fast here for Annual Passholders, with today, tomorrow, and Friday fully booked. (This upcoming Saturday is fully booked at all parks, for all pass types, but that’s a whole other issue.) Plan ahead if you are set on coming to the Magic Kingdom for spooky season, or you may be in for a scare!

What do you think of the Halloween “lite” decorations at the park? Of course, we could see more decorations come up in the coming days, so there may still be more to see by the end of the week. Stay tuned for more Halloween 2020 happenings at Walt Disney World!

  1. I am a huge Halloween fan and have gone to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party with my family since 9/11 when my kids and nephews couldn’t trick or treat. So you can imagine how disappointed I was to learn that it was canceled this year. I understand why but I am still disappointed. From these pictures it doesn’t look like Disney has done very much to decorate. Hopefully over the next couple days they will add more. A question for everyone… are you renewing your passes? I have been disappointed with not being able to get weekend reservations for Magic Kingdom. Do you think that will change after the holidays? I feel Disney is being greedy and letting their passholders down.
