We visited Magic Kingdom on a lovely day with several new and familiar sights to see.
Good morning from Magic Kingdom!
The courtyard between Casey’s Corner and First Aid has reopened after several months of construction.
Splash Mountain celebrated its “official” 28th anniversary here at Magic Kingdom today! It actually opened to guests in July 1992 until it was dedicated later in the year.
This duck was just chilling by the briar patch.
Splash Mountain was down for technical difficulties in the morning but later it reopened to wait times averaging around 60 minutes or more with lines sometimes stretching past the attraction.
Splashdown Photos was restocked with the Splash Mountain towels and tumblers. Surprisingly they didn’t sell out. There were plenty by the end of the day.
Chip ‘n’ Dale greeted us in their Halloween attire from the Frontierland balcony.
We caught the Disney Villains Character Cavalcade in Liberty Square. Gaston lead the way followed by the Queen of Hearts, Captain Hook, Bowler Hat Guy, and the Big Bad Wolf.
Jafar, Maleficent, and the Evil Queen ride the Boo-to-You parade float topped with Chernabog, the ginormous demon from Fantasia’s Night on Bald Mountain segment.
Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?
Construction progresses on the TRON Lightcycle / Run attraction in Tomorrowland.
The Friar’s Nook reopened today after having been closed since mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Adventureland Spring Rolls Cart also reopened.
Now that we’re in the spooky season, we made the ghoulishly delightful choice to conclude our day with a visit to the Haunted Mansion.
As we made our way out of the park we took a stroll around the Hub and Main Street, U.S.A. to take in the nightly atmosphere, which is something that we haven’t been able to experience for a while since the park has usually been closing before dark lately. Tonight, however, it closed at 7:00pm and we got to stick around for well over an hour as the sky grew darker. To make our evening even better, the Mickey jack-o-lanterns and Cinderella Castle were lit up.
Cinderella Castle is always a sight to see at night.
