Yesterday, Walt Disney World announced the long-awaited makeover of its classic entrances, which will be getting an all-new look for the resort’s 50th anniversary! And today, work has officially begun on the entrances, with just under a year to go before the anniversary celebrations begin.

Concept art has been released for the newly reimagined entrances, which will mark the removal of the Cinderella Castle cloud design and “Where Dreams Come True” tagline, which was added for the Year of a Million Dreams in 2006, as well as the original color scheme for these signs:

  • World Drive
  • World Center Drive
  • Western Way
  • Osceola Parkway
  • Hotel Plaza Boulevard (bookend signs, no archway)

Work has now begun on the Western Way entrance, with construction workers up on a high-reach by the main arch. Along the road, orange construction cones are set up to detour traffic from the active site. The red-lettered logo will be replaced with crisp white letters, and iridescent rose gold flags much like the colors we’re now seeing added to the Magic Kingdom toll plaza—to match the new color scheme of Cinderella Castle. The “Where Dreams Come True” tagline will be replaced with “The Most Magical Place on Earth” along a gold banner.
