PHOTOS: All Crossbeam Supports Fully Removed from the Great Ceremonial House at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

The last of the few of the iconic crossbeams left on the roof of the Great Ceremonial House at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort have been removed, now with even the supports gone and the roof bare.

Removal of the crossbeams began earlier this month and has been moving quickly.

Early this morning, we saw the bare roof an evidence of the crossbeam removal.

Inside, the main fountain was on and running—a reminder that the Polynesian spirit continues even throughout this drastic refurb.

Now that the entire structure is gone, a new version of the crossbeam structure will take its place.

Work will also soon begin on new Moana-themed rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The entire refurbishment will last until next summer, when the resort will finally reopen to all guests.
