PHOTOS: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Construction Moves Guest Services and Check-In to Pago Pago Building

Work has begun on refurbishing Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, which will not only get some updated features throughout but also Moana-themed rooms.

We’ve seen cranes in the parking area across from the resort’s porte cochere and monorail platform. Construction equipment is being staged in the lot.

The vehicle entrance is blocked, preventing guests from arriving at the Great Ceremonial House.

This pedestrian walkway leads to the Great Ceremonial House’s main entrance, which is located below the monorail station. Guests are directed to the left.

Easels have been placed throughout Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to direct foot traffic.

Maui points the way to the bus stop and the Transportation and Ticket Center, which is located adjacent to the resort.

An additional sign directs guests to the current entrance for The Great Ceremonial House.

The Disney’s Magical Express stop is now outside of Pago Pago. Interestingly, Disney chose to use “DME” rather than the airport shuttle service’s full name.

A canopy, much like those used as cool down areas at temperature screenings, is used to store strollers and ECVs.
