Construction on the new resort launch dock seems to be moving at a quick pace in the Magic Kingdom. Some notable additions have been made since our last visit, so let’s take a look!
From the neighboring dock, we can see that the canopy structures are finally getting their canvas coverings. The structure near the entrance seems to be nearly complete at this point, as it’s only missing one section from the roof.
Next to the dock, big palm trees have been planted. The arrival of landscaping means that the project could be finished in the near future.
They honestly look even better up close.
From the Walt Disney World Monorail station, we can see that the covering is completely finished on the other side.
Meanwhile, a construction panel blocks what will be the path between the park to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Beyond it, the temperature screening tent and table have been removed, likely to be placed at their final spot on the dock.
From the high point of the station, we can have a better look at the trees and how close they are to the path.
Since our last look, a lot of the construction equipment has been removed, with only a few items left on site.
It certainly allows for a better idea of what the area will look like… when it isn’t teeming with guests.
We should also have a nice view of Seven Seas Lagoon once it’s open. We can’t wait to see what pictures we’ll be able to get!
Work also seems to be coming along on the pathway near the Monorail. The poles are still wrapped up, but there’s also minimal equipment visible.
Less progress can be seen from the bus loop. Things seem to appear the same since we last looked this way.
Not too long from now, this will be a brand new way for guests to enter and exit the park just in time for its 50th anniversary!
