PHOTOS: Resort Launch Dock Construction Continues to Progress at the Magic Kingdom

Work continues to move along outside the Magic Kingdom as the park prepares for its new resort launch dock.

The area has come so far since construction began, but there’s still more to be done before it’s ready.

The temperature screening tent remains unoccupied along the path between the park and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which is still under construction. The tent is expected to be moved to the dock once it’s complete.

From the monorail station, we can see construction workers on the job site.

A small area around the sign and the canopy structure has been marked off around the beams. It’s possible this is connected to the sidewalk paving that’s been done by the dock area.

A ladder sits nearby, meaning that the canopies could soon get their coverings.

Meanwhile, the barrier between the sidewalk and docks remains walled off.

This should be a busy area around Seven Seas Lagoon once it opens.

Meanwhile, the some of the walls by path around the bus loop are down, exposing the small brick barrier next to the road.

This is shaping up to be a fine-looking area to welcome guests as the park gets ready to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
