We’ve got good news and bad news for you today from the Magic Kingdom. The bad news is, the “Sharing the Magic” statue featuring Roy O. Disney and Minnie Mouse at the entrance to the park has been moved—so your photos alongside the two bronze icons may look a little different for the next few months… but the good news is, this is the location of the park’s iconic Christmas tree, meaning the holidays are just around the corner!

The “Sharing the Magic” statue is located at the center of Town Square—approximately where Roy stood when he dedicated the park in October 1971. Every year for the holidays, the statue is relocated to City Hall ahead of the arrival of Christmas decorations. However, this year has been a year of many firsts, with modified holiday offerings leaving many wondering whether there would even be a Christmas tree at the Magic Kingdom come November. Thankfully, this is a good sign of things to come! We look forward to seeing the towering Christmas tree installed in the coming week.

Also announced for the holidays at the Magic Kingdom are Christmas Character Cavalcades, Cinderella Castle Christmas projections, and pop-up appearances by Santa Claus!
