After adding Plexiglass dividers to every ride vehicle a few days ago and adding more barriers to pre-show rooms, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is now seating two parties per ride vehicle.

Though boarding was delayed this morning, Boarding Groups were open for several minutes instead of mere seconds. When we boarded with our own group this afternoon, we were seated in the back row, while the other party was seated in the front row.

Boarding two parties in one vehicle means Rise of the Resistance can almost double its daily capacity. Of course, if a party has more than four people, they will take up two rows and be by themselves. Because a vehicle has only two rows, it would be a maximum of two parties in one car. Two parties will not be seated in the same row due to current social distancing guidelines.
