REVIEW: Belgium Returns as “Waffles” Booth for the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

A Waffles booth has opened at the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. This is the most recent latecomer to this year’s festival after The Donut Box and Cool Wash returned last weekend. Most festival booths have been operating since the park reopened in mid-July.

This booth seems to be a pared-down version of the usual Belgium booth, which is of course known for its waffles.

There are plenty of social distancing markers leading up to the booth.

The chefs here are making waffles fresh to order making the price tag immediately worth it. There are two varieties, here we have the chocolate ganache. The chocolate is ultra-rich, and turns the waffle and whipped cream into a sweet wonderland.

And this one is the berry compote version. There’s a much more prevalent topping on this waffle compared to the drizzle of chocolate. Both are really sweet and tasty, it comes down to personal preference. At four dollars apiece, you really can’t go wrong with the freshly-prepared waffles.

*NEW* Original Sin Brewery Black Widow Hard Cider – $4.50/$8.50

Original Sin describes this hard cider as “fruit-forward, yet tart, with a tantalizing complexity, made with blackberries and freshly pressed New York apples.”

Location of Waffles at the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
