When we last checked on construction at the M&M’s Store coming to Disney Springs, plywood had just been hung. Paint is now being applied to the plywood sheeting. We also noticed that glass panes have been installed as well, along with metallic trim.
Most of the M&M’s Store’s facade has been painted. It is likely that the pale yellow paint is a primer or sealer.
Supports have been added, arranged in circular patterns. The supports will hold the lighted m&ms’s that will dot the storefront.
This concept art shows lighted m&m’s and other design elements that will be added.
The silver arc and doorway trim will reflect what will likely be LED lighting.
The large, red main sign will be attached to the posts above the door.
Glass panes have been installed over the main entrance.
The secondary entrance has an arched top.
Yellow paint has also been applied to the building’s side.
The M&M’s Store was originally scheduled to open Thanksgiving Day 2020. That opening has now been pushed back to 2021.
