If you’ve been following our Walt Disney World resort hotel room tours, you might notice we’ve gone from animated comfort to Mediterranean luxury!
We’re touring a Preferred View Two-Bedroom Villa at Disney’s Riviera Resort, and it’s chock full of lavish design, with just a touch of Disney magic!
As you enter the villa, you’ll find a peg board to hang your coats and jackets on, as well as a small shelf to hold those vacation essentials, like sunscreen and MagicBands.
A hallway shows off the white, cream and black-accented color scheme.
Above the entrance to the common room/kitchen is an elegant golden-colored chandelier.
The villa also has a washer-dryer unit for all your laundry needs.
Nearby, a closet holds extra pillows and blankets, as well as a vacuum cleaner, ironing board and a safe.
Moving into the main bathroom, the white and gold color scheme plays nicely off the marble tile.
Below the sink, there are plenty of cubbies to hold toiletry cases, hair dryers, and more.
The marble color scheme extends into the shower.
The shower has two heads: one overhead rain shower, and a second, handheld one above the taps.
Stepping inside, you’ll find the shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers, along with a bench to sit on.
It pays to be the first one in the restroom. You might just notice the Rivera design imprinted onto the toilet paper!
There’s also a nice piece of artwork featuring characters from The Princess and the Frog.
Next door, a larger sink and vanity area is paired with a bathtub.
There’s a clever ledge by the edge of the tub so you can place toiletries. Be sure to check out that neat-looking light fixture!
The doors slide closed, leading into one of the bedrooms.
The floors in the bedrooms are carpeted with a gray and brass-colored pattern.
Opposite the king-sized bed, a dresser, closet and long mirror are there to perfect your look.
The headboard has a plush blue-green color that helps make it the focal point of the room.
Do these sleepy kittens look familiar? They should, because they’re Berlioz, Toulouse, and Marie from The Aristocats!
The backboard also holds a surprise if you look closely at the wood frame…
It’s a hidden Mickey!
The dresser has nine sizable drawers, perfect for guests staying for a long while. (Or one very large family!)
The closet boasts an overhead and three side shelves, good for many suitcases.
The room features a small balcony to take in the view.
The double-R (for Riviera Resort) design can also be found in the pattern for the curtains.
Stepping out onto the balcony, you can see a bit of the European splendor that the resort attempts to encapsulate.
The double-R design can also be found on the backs of two metal chairs.
A doorway provides access to the common room.
Thanks to the bed’s design, there’s also room underneath to stow a suitcase or two.
As we head into the common room, we can see some very Disney-inspired artwork on the wall behind a blue sofa. But appearances can be deceiving…
It’s actually a pull-down bed, with a painting of Peter Pan, Wendy, Michael and John flying off to Neverland behind it.
When the bed is pulled down, small cubbies (along with an outlet) are revealed.
But when it’s up, you can see art inspired by The Brave Little Tailor and Beauty and the Beast, along with dual side-portraits of Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Next to the sofa are a pair of plush chairs and ottomans, making this a nice conversation space.
The windows look out onto the courtyard.
These are honestly big enough to double as either footrests or seats.
They also open up to be storage compartments!
Across from the sofa, a large TV sits above a pull-out bed. (Hopefully, these are now all properly mounted.)
Mickey and Pluto enjoy a snooze by the seaside in the artwork behind the bed.
The common room also features a small dining table, perfect for meals or as a workspace.
Remy from Ratatouille prepares an apple pie in the painting above the bench.
The back of the booth-style seating features art inspired by the resort.
Heading closer to the door, we pass through the kitchen, which offers amenities for any kind of chef.
The garbage pail rolls out next to the dishwasher.
The Whirlpool dishwasher can hold a fair amount of dishes, so don’t be afraid to cook (or bring in your meals)!
For the breakfast fans, there’s a coffeemaker and toaster as well.
More shelves to store dry goods can be found in the cabinet.
There are three sets of nine mugs, as well as tall and short glasses.
A fire extinguisher, extra garbage bags and more are under the sink.
There are also plenty of kitchen utensils, including a measuring cup, colander, and storage container.
Ladles and silverware are in a drawer just above that.
There’s plenty of plates and bowls, too!
For fast cooking, you can use the microwave.
Feeling fancy? Break out the nine wine glasses!
And of course, we shouldn’t forget the full combination range/oven.
There’s a mid-sized refrigerator and freezer, which may not hold as much as the one you may have at home, but should be good for a Walt Disney World vacation.
Need even more places to store your stuff? There’s a drawer underneath the bench!
Finally, we’ll head down the hall into the second bedroom.
A smaller closet can be found in the hall.
A small bureau can be found at the bedroom entrance below art inspired by Cars 2.
The bathroom here is similar to the one in the first bedroom, though there’s no sink in the space with the toilet and shower.
This room holds nautical-themed art vaguely reminiscent of Moana.
As you can see, the shower setup is virtually identical to its counterpart in the other bathroom.
The door opens up into a room with the vanity and sink, as well as a bathtub/shower.
This offers the movable showerhead found in the other showers.
Can you spot the hidden Mickeys in the shower curtain?
Both rooms have doors leading into the bedroom.
Looking for a place to hang up your clothes? There’s a large closet with lots of room!
Across, there’s a large mirror.
This bedroom features two queen-sized beds.
Like the other bedroom, there are two chairs and a dresser.
Minnie, known here as Mademoiselle Mouse, kicks up her heels in this French-inspired art, which also features silhouettes of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Clarabelle Cow, and Horace Horsecollar.
There’s a set of three drawers on each side of the beds.
The while-colored backboards have a hidden Mickey of their own.
There’s also a balcony, which offers stunning views of the lake and the Disney Skyliner.
Hungry? Primo Piatto is just downstairs and to the left!
The pool is off to the right, so be sure to pack your bathing suit!
There are also two chairs to enjoy people-watching in.
And as the sun sets, we conclude our thorough tour. If you want to see more of the grandeur of Disney’s Riviera Resort, be sure to read our tour of a Preferred View Deluxe Studio Villa, and check out our full video room tour of our 2-bedroom villa below:

I love the hidden mickeys in the iron railing of the balcony and behind the window!
