REVIEW: NEW Fall Mickey Pumpkin Rocky Road Cupcake Debuts at Walt Disney World

A new Fall cupcake is now available at Capt. Cook’s in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and it’s practically perfect with a pumpkin swirled on top.

This cute cupcake has a Mickey pumpkin made of icing on the top.

Fall leaf sprinkles also cover the top of the cupcake.

This is the same basic cupcake as the Halloween Minnie cupcake, which was also available at Capt. Cook’s, but this was better. The dark chocolate cake was soft and moist, with a good, intense flavor. The colored buttercream is very sweet. Be careful, though—it will stain you and your clothing.

This has a fresher, better-crafted rocky road filling than the Minnie cupcake. There were whole mini marshmallows in the filling this time too, which was super good. It was like a pudding version of rocky road ice cream with marshmallows and chocolate pieces.

There was more filling with less icing, which is exactly what we wanted from the Minnie cupcake from last month.

We loved this cupcake! It’s an improvement from the Halloween Minnie cupcake and we would eat it again. Kudos to the cake decorator as well, as this pumpkin was absolutely lovely visually.
