We’re loving all the new holiday treats now available at Walt Disney World. In Magic Kingdom, the newest ice cream creation is Minnie’s Merry Cherry Sundae at Storybook Treats.

While we’re used to food items not looking exactly like their advertised photo, this sundae was a real “expectations vs. reality” moment.

As if it didn’t already look like a mess, it melted almost instantly.

Despite the quick melting, the ice cream tasted great, with a strong cherry flavor that wasn’t at all medicinal.

The whipped cream was fresh. The chocolate sauce was a standard hot fudge sauce, and was thick and rich.

The chocolate bow was a nice visual touch.

Overall, this sundae tastes great and is an especially nice treat for cherry lovers. The presentation was lacking, and it immediately melted into an unrecognizable soup, but it still tasted good. If you’re only looking for a good taste and not a good photo, then this is a dessert for you. Plus, it’s big enough to share.
