It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, World Travelers! It was the first truly cold day of the season here in Florida, and, with it also being the first day of December, we thought we would head to EPCOT and really get into the holiday spirit by taking in the sights and sounds (and tastes!) of the International Festival of the Holidays. We found some new things to show you along the way, so let’s get started!
With new pins coming out every few days recently, we stopped in at Pin Traders first thing this morning to see what was new. We found quite the haul of Limited Edition pins being released today, including this adorable pin of Pascal with a present. For full details, see our article here.
Next we headed over to Mouse Gear and found a late comer to the Festival of the Holidays merchandise line, this 3-D phone case. It retails for $34.99.
We also noticed that the Dooney & Bourke “Disney Cats” Limited Edition MagicBand had made its way to Mouse Gear.
While visiting World Showcase, we found more merchandise worth noting. We found lots of new merchandise in the Mexico Pavilion, including youth and adult clothing, hats, blankets, mugs, and, our personal favorite, this tumbler featuring Mickey Mouse himself. For full details, see our article here.
In the Italy Pavilion, we found more new clothing, including this “Buon Appetito” long sleeve Women’s t-shirt weight hoodie. It retails for $36.99.
We found this magnet featuring Mickey Mouse in a gondola for $9.99.
Next, we found this onesie featuring the same Mickey Mouse art for $19.99.
We found three Youth shirts, the first of which features Mickey and Minnie and the word “Amore” for $29.99.
The second Youth shirt features the phrase “Buon Giorno” and retails for $19.99.
The last shirt is a raglan tee and features the same Mickey Mouse in a gondola design as the magnet. It retails for $29.99.
We checked in on some of the construction going on in the park while we were here. Over at the former location of Innoventions West, we found a worker on a scissor lift working in the ceiling. With the exterior walls having been removed recently, it has become quite a lot easier to watch the progress being made inside.
Over at the former location of Innoventions East, some exterior walls have been removed, giving us a better view of the inside the building as it is demolished.
Moving on to food around the park, we were very excited to see that hot Gluhwein is now available by the glass at the Weinkeller in the Germany Pavilion. It is also available at the Bavaria Holiday Kitchen Festival booth, but if you don’t want to wait in the long line outside, you can come inside and order the same delicious beverage here.
Last week, we found that Bratwurst was now being served at Sommerfest, but today we found it off the menu once again. We asked the Cast Member there, and found out that the Bratwurst will be a weekend-only item for now.
We found a late-comer to the Festival of the Holidays food offerings in the way of this beautiful dessert from Les Halles in the France Pavilion. This Buche de Noel has been available in the past, but has been redecorated for this year.
We think this sounds delicious!
We had a wonderful day at EPCOT, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
