Hello from an extra magical day at the Magic Kingdom! Though it started out a bit grey and overcast, it turned out to be a lovely day, if not a bit chilly. We found lots of exciting things today at the park, so let’s get started!
As we saw yesterday, themed scrim has been added to the Main Street Station scaffolding, making this construction area a bit more festive.
Inside the park, the scaffolding has been raised even higher, completely covering the main body of the building.
It was a big day for construction updates, as a large portion of the painted scrim was removed from the front of “it’s a small world”.
The illuminated canopy at TRON Lightcycle / Run has progressed rapidly recently, with this swooped top section filled in most recently.
The scaffolding has risen higher than the building around Harper’s Mill on Tom Sawyer Island. It was started just a few days ago, but it seems to be almost completed now and ready for work to be completed.
Cinderella Fountain has been refilled with water, and we must say, it does look beautiful with the new base color. While it looks like no other work was done, we are liking the new look!
While good progress was made at all these projects, things seemed stalled at Fantasyland Station. No new track has been laid there for a while.
We found lots of new merchandise today, including four new face masks. The first was this Darth Vader character face mask.
Next we found a “Never Underestimate A Princess” mask, which we couldn’t agree with more. After that, we found a “Pizza Planet” face mask, perfect for Toy Story fans. Lastly, we found a Black Panther logo mask. All masks were available in all four sizes, and retail for $9.99.
We found this fun cropped hoodie today featuring pastel Mickey silhouettes printed all over. We found this sweater at The Emporium for $44.99.
We found two new Spirit Jerseys today, just in time for the weather to cool off again. The first was this new rose gold Spirit Jersey, featuring glitter detailing. This Jersey can be found at The Emporium for $69.99.
We found a latecomer to the tumbler crowd, this Mickey Mouse sketch tumbler featuring a Mickey straw topper. We found it at The Emporium for $22.99.
We found two super cute pairs of ears today featuring Disney cats and dogs, which are certainly getting their moment in the spotlight recently. A “101 Dalmatians” and a Marie (from “The Aristocats”) ear headband would go perfectly with all the new Disney pets merchandise that’s been coming out lately! Our favorite find of the day though was the full collection of the Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction Series 12: Nighttime Fireworks & Castle Finale. We were so excited to finally see this month in person, and to see the series come to a close on a high note. For more pictures, video, and information, check out our article here.
We were excited today to welcome another location back as Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant reopened today. Signs out front advertised that they would now be serving favorite dishes from Columbia Harbour House. Seafood lovers rejoice, there are now more options for you in the park!
We had a great day at the Magic Kingdom, and we hope that you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
