Hollywood Scoops is offering more than just ice cream, at least through this weekend. The Disney’s Hollywood Studios quick service location is testing breakfast items. The limited menu features mimosas, Bloody Marys, and cinnamon rolls.
The breakfast menu is available until 11:00 AM. There is no word as to whether the menu will stay or return beyond January 24.
We tried both drinks and the cinnamon roll.
Mimosa — $13
Based on its appearance, the mimosa sat for awhile before being served.
The mimosa uses Moët Impérial champagne and Minute Maid orange juice. The Minute Maid juice is bitter and has an artificial flavor. The mimosa has a nice pour of alcohol, but is otherwise not worth the price.
Bloody Mary — $11
It is now possible to get a Bloody Mary inside the Studios before 11:00 AM. Previously, guests looking for the beverage would need to wait until The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge opens to enjoy a Bloody Mary.
The drink is well-balanced, but you can taste the alcohol. The Bloody Mary is a premix from Cutwater Spirits. Despite being a premix, this is worth a try after a tough morning at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Cinnamon Roll — $4.29
The cinnamon roll is soft and flaky, perfectly sweet, and served cold. It is a relatively enjoyable pastry.
The cinnamon roll is more glazed than frosted, with just a small drizzle of icing. This may beat waiting in a long line at The Trolley Car Café. Hollywood Scoops also serves coffee.
We love breakfast at the Walt Disney World Resort. What are your thoughts on the test breakfast items at Hollywood Scoops. Should they stay? Add your thoughts in the comments below.
