Moana is moving in to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. What appears to be some of the new furniture for the resort’s remodeled rooms is sitting out in guest pathways at the mostly-closed resort hotel.
New nightstands and storage units of various shapes and sizes await delivery to their rooms.
The furniture pieces seem a little bland so far, but it’s probably a welcome sight for those who thought the Moana theme would be overt and ruin the existing ambiance of the hotel. Perhaps the handles on the cabinets and drawers have some fun details, but they’re currently wrapped to protect them during installation.
This unit has Polynesian-influenced markings, but they don’t appear to be Moana related. Maybe we’re missing something…
When completed, “rooms will include a move to a Pacific Ocean-inspired color palette as well as details, patterns and textures from Disney’s “Moana,” an animated film that takes place on the Polynesian island of Motunui.”
Keep checking back at WDWNT for more updates on this renovation project
Let’s hope they don’t overkill the re-theme with IP.
