One of the Harmonious nighttime spectacular barges was recently testing its fountains at EPCOT. Twitter user @DisneyXC shared two videos of the barge’s water and lighting effects operating in World Showcase Lagoon.
The first video shows the fountain spraying nearly vertically. The display screen is off, but the platform around the barge is illuminated. Those lights are likely a safety precaution during testing.
The second clip gives us a glimpse of how the articulating arm is able to direct the fountain spray. The motion and effect match the Harmonious concept artwork.
World Showcase Lagoon will come to life during Harmonious. This concept art shows the illuminated screens as well as water spraying from the arms. Each barge features lighting effects, too. We had previously seen early morning fountain testing; this is the first glimpse at nighttime testing.
During the day, water effects from the barges will help to hide the giant video screens on either side, while the centerpiece ring barge will utilize water effects to ‘hide’ its structure.
Are you looking forward to Harmonious? Let us know in the comments.

There’s another video floating out there that shows the fountain testing and it does not do well on a windy day.
