After a lengthy closure, Disney’s Blizzard Beach has reopened today. The weather is great with clear skies, making it a perfect day for a visit to the water park.

When entering the parking lot, Cast Members direct guests where to park in a distanced-fashion.

Walking up to the main entrance, an A-frame sign encourages guests to scan a QR code to purchase a 1-day water park ticket.

Of course, as with the Walt Disney World theme parks, there is a temperature check station before entering the water park. Physical distancing ground markers lead the way to the tents as another A-frame sign reminds guests to maintain physical distancing at a minimum of six feet.

As it is reopening day after all, guests are made aware of that media activity will be taking place in the water park.

More physical distancing markers lead the way to the entrance where Cast Members will scan guests in.

Once inside, even more signage greets guests. This sign encourages guests to scan the QR code to place a mobile order for food. Lottawatta Lodge, Avalunch, and Warming Hut currently have mobile ordering available.

As expected, COVID-19 Safety Protocol Signage is seen throughout Disney’s Blizzard Beach. This one reminds guests of the protocol for wearing face masks on Walt Disney World property: they must be worn over the nose and mouth at all times, including when taking photographs. There are also plenty of hand sanitizer stations set up around the water park.

Speaking of which, further signage describing proper wear for face coverings and health recommendations are also seen outside of the restrooms and dressing rooms in addition to hand sanitizer being available for guests.

To further encourage physical distancing efforts, every other locker is blocked off for rental.

A new photo opportunity with a family of snowmen is now available. Guests can put their mobile device on the “Selfie Ski” for the perfect angle.

At Lottawatta Lodge, additional signs on trashcans remind guests that face coverings are required in this area. Other areas in which face coverings are required include the park entry and exit, all merchandise locations, all food and beverage locations, and locker, restroom, and changing areas.

This quick service location has debuted a new covered seating area upon reopening.

More physical distancing reminders are posted on the columns of the new themed gazebo area.

Lottawatta Lodge does have a physically-distanced line to place orders, but there is a dedicated line to pick up mobile orders as mobile ordering is encouraged.

Unlike the rest of the Walt Disney World Resort, some areas of Disney’s Blizzard Beach do allow self-refills of the all-day rapid refill cups.

In the queue for the Chair Lift, signs inform guests that queue markings are provided to assist with physical distancing.

Guests are asked to wait behind the yellow line for their safety. A Cast Member directs guests onto the Chair Lift.

The Chair Lift not only gives a leisurely ride up to Mount Gushmore, but we’re also able to see the additional physical distancing markers placed throughout the water park.

Once at the top, we’re met with — yep, you’ve guessed it — more physical distancing markers.

It’s pretty cool out, so not much is going on anywhere around the water park.

The Runoff Rapids area remains empty but is prepared for guests with ground markers.

The Sand Breakers kiosk is prepared as well, equipped with hand sanitizer.

The Toboggan Racers queue is outfitted with physical distancing markers and ensures guests check that their party is tall enough to ride.

A physical distancing sign joins the other lineup of signage at Cross Country Creek.

At Melt-Away Bay, guests physically distance their parties.

Guests are discouraged from moving the chairs as they’ve been positioned to maintain a minimum of six feet between parties.

At Tike’s Peak, the pint-sized park continues to encourage physical distancing between parties.

Going back for another ride on the Chair Lift, we’re happy to report that Cast Members spray down each gondola in a similar fashion to the way attraction vehicles are cleaned.

Ice Gator sure looks happy to be welcoming guests to the Blizzard Beach Ski Patrol Training Camp once again!

As the weather warms up into the late afternoon, more guests are seen enjoying the water park.
