The Macaron au Chocolate en Sucette returns to Fleur de Lys after a one-year absence, last seen in 2019. The Chardonnay previously appeared at the France Marketplace during the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. The Canard Confit à l’Orange also returns this year, but served with Parisian gnocchi, which replaces last year’s mashed sweet potatoes.

Tarte aux Oignons Caramelises et Chévre: Goat Cheese Tart with Caramelized Onions on a flaky Pastry Crust – $5.50

The goat cheese tart was fine, but not worth the price. I mean, it’s good, but why pay that much for a tiny piece of bread with onions and goat cheese?

*NEW* Canard Confit à l’Orange aux Gnocchi à la Parisienne: Braised Duck Confit à l’Orange with Parisian Gnocchi – $6.50

The gnocchi is textured as you would expect. It’s soft and chewy but added no discernible flavor. The dish evokes flavors of American Thanksgiving at times, making us forget that it’s a French dish.

This duck seems to be of better quality than the one at Farmers Feast, but it does come in a smaller portion.

Macaron au Chocolate en Sucette: Large Chocolate Macaron Lollipop – $5.95

This macaron arrives cold and attached to a stick, allowing you some nice photo opportunities. Get ready for chocolate overload because there’s an abundance of it inside and out. A very refreshing and tasty item to enjoy while Florida heats up once again.

*NEW* Beignet Caramélisé, Fourré Crème Vanille, Glacé au Caramel Fleur de Sel: Caramelized Beignet Filled with Vanilla Cream and Glazed with Caramel Fleur de Sel – $5.25

The cream inside is rich and sweet. The pastry is soft and doughy. The caramelized sugar adds a nice, sweet finish, making for a pleasant snack that can be shared.

This is a good crème-filled doughnut, but if you want a real French pastry, just go into the pavilion for Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie.

Kronenbourg Blanc 1664 Draft Beer (5.0% ABV) – $5.00/$9.00

From Untappd: “1664 Blanc is an original wheat beer. It is a different, fresh and fruity white beer, slightly bitter with hints of citrus and coriander spices.”

VeRy Raspberry: Rosé Wine with Natural Raspberry Flavor ($9/bottle) – $5.75

From Luneau USA Inc., VeRy Raspberry has “as pale pink color as the raspberry pulp,” with an aroma that’s “subtle and round on the nose with persistent aromas of raspberry.” They add, “fresh and silky on the palate, this wine is the perfect balance between good acidity and the roundness of the raspberry.”

*NEW* Chardonnay, Le Vieux Manoir ($8/bottle) – $5.00

From Robert E. on Vivino: “An oily texture with a lot of oaky vanilla and bitter almond with some hints of cinnamon. Not much fruit to speak of. Unbalanced.”

*NEW* Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec Blend, Château Lorient ($11/bottle) – $6.75

From Wine Library: ” This classic everyday Bordeaux holds both dense fruit notes and earth tones. The balance between the two is what makes a good Bordeaux Superiore.”

La Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy: Vodka, Grey Goose L’Orange Vodka ($28/bottle), St. Germain Liqueur ($32/bottle), White and Red Cranberry Juice – $12.50

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival Fleur de Lys

France once again brings an alcoholic slushy to the Festival. This time it’s a very floral and fruity vodka concoction that’s a light pink color. It actually smells like a rose! The St. Germain Liqueur doesn’t overpower the cranberry and orange flavors, which makes for a well balanced cocktail. We recommend this slushy.
