BREAKING: Orange County Florida Lifting All Mask Mandates Tomorrow

Orange County, Florida Mayor Jerry Demings announced that he is lifting all COVID-19 restrictions, including mask mandates and physical distancing, effective tomorrow, Saturday, June 5, 2021.

This is only a day later than reports earlier this week indicated when Demings stated that Orange County had achieved an 11-day positivity rate below 5% and would need to wait until 14 days was reached.

As we reported recently, Universal Studios Florida has removed most of their mask policies and physical distancing rules for vaccinated guests. Walt Disney World is still requiring that guests wear face coverings while indoors, but that could change this weekend. Mask rules were quickly changed after Orange County reached the 50% vaccination level, allowing guests to be maskless outdoors.

Recently, select Cast Members who work outdoors were also allowed to remove masks.

      • Yes Jim, I’ve heard that Orange County has lifted its masks mandate. Mickey will announce shortly, stay tuned.

    • Only in Florida, sadly here in Commiefornia we’re still not allowed to live and breath freely so I don’t go anywhere here, only Florida to live and breath freely!

  1. We were at the lobby of Caribbean Beach 3 days ago, sitting there not moving while I look for a ride on Uber, and some servant came over and told us we had to put on our masks. Disney isn’t giving up on masks yet.

    • We stopped going because it has gotten so ridiculous – We were at Disney Springs near the old Cirque building well away from all and one of the gestapo cast member came all the way over to us to tell us to pull up our masks.

    • Well, that was 3 days ago. Things are moving pretty fast. I won’t be surprised if we hear something in a day or so. Remember, Universal already took away their mask requirements. I doubt Disney will be far behind. Unless they want more of their money going to Universal.

      • Disney must still have too much mask inventory that they are trying to move so they have to hold on to the theater as long as possible
