The refurbishment of Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Magic Kingdom is moving along. The marquee, which was damaged earlier this year, is being updated. We spotted a color change for the sign, although it appears to be incomplete.
The left side and center of the marquee has been painted light blue.
The word “Mickey’s” and the yellow banner with “A Concert for the Eyes and Ears!” are still there.
The right side of the marquee is still the original gold color.
In addition to the marquee, the attraction’s digital projection system is being updated. A new scene from “Coco” is also being added.
The marquee isn’t the only part of the attraction seeing work. Sections of pavement in front of the entrance have been redone.
Two sections of the red colored pavement have been repaired.
The sections are roped off, blocking a portion of the entrance to Fantasy Faire.
The Fantasy Faire entrance under the marquee is closed off, but there is another entrance open in the Philharmagic tunnel exit.
Just last month, all FastPass+ kiosks were removed from the area next to the Fantasy Faire entrance. Mickey’s Philharmagic is expected to reopen November 12.
