Sosa Family Cigar Co. in Disney Springs will permanently close on January 2, 2023. The family-run store has been a long-standing staple with its first location in Pleasure Island and the current West Side location, dating back to the early 2000s.
Sosa’s Family Cigar Co. has been in the industry for over 70 years and is recognized as one of the country’s foremost cigar retailers. The Disney Springs location features wall-to-wall cigars, a humidor room, and an intimate smoking area for cigar connoisseurs.

Wow! I have always loved the Sosa Cigar store. So sad to see it go.
I am so sad as I always stopped and took some time to relax with one of their cigars. It was my time to unwind and would leave with several bundles of their house brand Sosa Maduro cigars for home. I absolutely need to see Disney have another fine Cigar retailer on property. There’s a lot of traditions with Disney and fine cigars on vacation is one of them for many of us.
I assume Disney raised their lease and want to move out this store because of providing smoke free environment. In any case, it’s welcomed to see something else take its place.
The new restaurant across the pathway forced their closing due to the concerns the cigar smoke would affect their guests. It’s utter BS.
Indoos seating for Salt & Straw next door!
Stupid idea to do that
FINALLY…..Happy happy joy joy…..what a stink that place was….they’ll have to do some serious fumigation to get that smell out before being able to transform the space….considering the fact that Walt died from lung cancer, it was a surprise that they were there to begin with.
Open a cigar store. I hear Sosa is available…
We won’t need to hold our breath anymore!
I agree…the stink was not confined to their store. Another win for Tobacco Free Florida.
I’d like to see a Disney Tattoo Shop
Oh man! So Sad. I used to frequest Sosa at PI back in the day. Get sweaty and crazy with chicks at Mannequins and then hop over to Sosa. I became good friends with Tommy (one of the sons) and we;d chill with smuggled cubans and single malts.
RIP Sosas
This is what happens when Disney gets paid off by the new restaurant coming in right across from Sosa. Make anyone disappear with the right amount of money. Or so I hear
Makes me sad to see Sosa go, I’d stop by special when in the area just go go grab their cigars at DS.
