How does DVC Rental Store work?
Today, we will take a look at a step by step guide so you know exactly how to purchase your DVC room when booking through DVC Rental Store. The process is simple, quick, and assistance is always available if you need it.
Step 1: Check Availability and Price
The first thing you will have to do is see what Disney resorts and rooms are available during the dates you are interested in. The rooms come as a “package” so they are already pre-grouped on a certain amount of days. For example, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge may be available from August 5-10 when you are looking, so if you wanted to secure that resort for those days and the price that you see, you would have to take it as is. Luckily, there is a massive inventory so it is easy to get the dates you are looking for.
Their Check Availability Page is updated multiple times daily and also gives you the ability to compare rental offerings by price. Select one or more available villas, and you’re on your way!
The best thing about this part of the process is that it is totally free. You do not have to pay a deposit to see what is available, which is different compared to other DVC rental companies, who require your deposit before looking at availability.
Step 2: Submit Your Request and Security Deposit
Once you have found the perfect room for you, it’s time to lock it in!
When you’re ready to move forward with your reservation, simply submit a reservation request form. Then, one of their Reservation Specialists will get to work booking your vacation!
A member of the DVC Rental Store team will follow up with you to let you know what dates are available. If they are unable to secure your reservation due to lack of availability, your $100 deposit will be refunded in full.
Step 3: Sign Documents and Submit Initial Payment
Once your booking is confirmed, there are only a few more small tasks to complete to lock you in.
Once DVC Rental Store has confirmed your reservation, you’ll need to submit an initial payment equal to 25% of your total cost (minus your $100 security deposit), and sign your rental agreement.
Your remaining 75% balance is due no later than 75 days prior to your arrival. This balance can be paid in one payment, or spread across several payments. Please note that for reservations made less than 75 days ahead of check-in, full payment is required upfront.
After you have completed those 3 simple steps, you are on your way to having a magical Disney World vacation.
