Crews have blocked off an area of West Side surface parking at Disney Springs for the upcoming “Disney Dreams That Soar” drone show.
Drone Show Staging Area
The staging area is in the corner of the Strawberry parking lot highlighted in yellow on the above screenshot from My Disney Experience.
Traffic cones redirect drivers around the blocked rows. We saw a few crew members on-site on Tuesday.
We previously reported Disney filed permits for fences and gates at Disney Springs, likely for drone paddocks.
Beyond the cones is temporary fencing further blocking the rows from guest access.
Crew members were installing more permanent fest posts along the sidewalk at the edge of the lot.
The space is far from the center of Disney Springs but Disney did state the drone show would be on the West Side of Lake Buena Vista.
“Disney Dreams That Soar” will have a limited-time run from May 24 through September 2, 2024. A description of the show is below.
“You can fly” takes on a whole new meaning as we showcase Disney stories celebrating the joy of flight with state-of-the-art drones choreographed to create designs in the sky and paired with a “soaring” musical score […] and memorable movie quotes.

Though the show is only scheduled for a limited time, Disney Live Entertainment Parades and Spectaculars Executive Steve Davison has stated that “drones are the next thing.”
This is the second Disney Springs drone show after “Starbright Holidays” in 2016. Watch our video of that show below.
