As of June 6, 2024, updates to the Disneyland Resort reservation policy will impact guests with either Disneyland Resort Vacation Packages or Room Only reservations.

Disneyland Resort Reservation Policy Updates

Disneyland Resort Vacation Package Policy Update

Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park. New changes have been made to the Disneyland Resort reservation policy.

The major change is that the full price of a vacation package now becomes non-refundable three days before arrival at the Disneyland Resort for your vacation. Before this adjustment, the full price of a vacation package became non-refundable four days before arrival. This gives guests an extra 24 hours to cancel their Disneyland Resort reservation and still receive a refund.

The cancellation policies, as well as the amount refunded in each scenario, are as follows:

For cancellations made 30 days or more prior to Guest arrival — amounts paid (minus cancellation fees assessed by third party hotels or other suppliers, non-refundable travel protection plan costs, and other amounts owed) will be refunded, subject to the 24-Hour Booking Policy

For cancellations made four days to 29 days prior to Guest arrival — amounts paid (minus a cancellation fee of $200 per package and minus any cancellation fees assessed by third party hotels or other suppliers, non-refundable travel protection plan costs, and other amounts owed) will be refunded, subject to the 24-Hour Booking Policy

For cancellations made three days or less prior to Guest arrival or for no-shows — the full price of the package (including Disneyland Resort admission tickets and all other components of the package) is non-refundable, subject to the 24-Hour Booking Policy

Travel ePackage containing Disneyland Resort admission tickets, travel itinerary and digital vouchers for Magical Extras will be delivered electronically to Guest’s linked MyDisney account three days prior to Guest arrival instead of four days prior to Guest arrival.

Additionally, Disneyland Resort Vacation Package reservations are fully refundable within 24 hours of booking. However, this refund only applies if the booking took place more than 72 hours before the posted check-in time. This is known as the “24-Hour Booking Policy.”

When a guest is within three days of arrival for their vacation, they can no longer make changes to their Travel Package, including their Disneyland Resort admission tickets.

Disneyland Resort Room Only Policy Update

The major change to the room-only policy is that reservation cancellations can now be received four days before a guest’s arrival date for the guest to obtain a full refund. Guests used to need to cancel five days before their arrival to receive a full refund. This gives room-only guests an extra 24-hour window to receive a full refund.

If a guest does not cancel at least four days before arriving, they will be subject to a cancellation fee.

Any cancellation less than four days prior to arrival date will result in a cancellation fee of the first night’s room plus taxes and fees (including, without limitation, any taxes and fees imposed by the City of Anaheim), subject to the 24-Hour Booking Policy.

Guests with Disneyland Resort Room Only reservations can receive a full refund if they cancel their booking within 24 hours. However, this only applies if the booking took place at least 72 hours before check-in time.

These changes to the Disneyland Resort reservation cancellation policy come after Walt Disney World Resort changed its room-only and vacation package cancellation policy earlier this year.
