New experiences are coming to Disneyland Resort for Christmas 2024.
New Holiday Experiences Debut in 2024
Disneyland has announced many new offerings coming to the California Parks for the holiday season. Santa Claus and other characters will be in Fantasyland Theatre where guests can decorate cookies and make crafts.
Previously we reported that Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse would be debuting new costumes, but they arent the only ones dawning new looks for this winter season. Disney released a sneak preview of what we can expect to see Goofy, Clarabelle, Donald, and Daisy to wear down Main Street, U.S.A.
The Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail will debut on November 22, 2024 in the Downtown Disney District and run through January 1, 2024. Guests can purchase a map from multiple shopping locations in the Downtown Disney District, Resort Hotels, and Disneyland for $9.99. Once the search for all the themed ornaments is completed (or not) the guest can pick up a holiday keepsake.
Disney has teased dozens of limited-time holiday-themed food and beverages coming to Disneyland Resort, so stay tuned for more details. For now they have confirmed that the Mickey Gingerbread will be returning!
Disneyland Resort will also be returning the metal Holiday Tumbler.
Starting on November 19, “Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays!” will open to guests at Disneyland Hotel. On that same day in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at Storytellers Cafe, “Mickey’s Holiday Pajama Party,” a breakfast and brunch with characters in new pajamas.
Holiday Merchandise
Disney also announced new holiday merchandise collections coming to the parks including, Mickey Mouse Family Christmas, Holiday Red, and Snowman collections.
This merchandise will be available for purchase at multiple locations like World of Disney, Elias & Co., and Emporium.
Holiday Décor and Entertainment Returns
Guest will get to experience a holiday atmosphere that only Disney can create. Disneyland Resort will return the parade “A Christmas Fantasy Parade.”
Disneyland Resort will also have massive gingerbread houses on display at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and all-new decor at Pixar Place Hotel.
The most iconic tradition during a Disney holiday is seeing “snowfall” along the Rivers of America, on Main Street U.S.A., and the west end of Downtown Disney and Disney has announced that this tradition will be returning as well.
The “Believe…In Holiday Magic” nighttime fireworks spectacular will be returning and performed nightly at Disneyland.
In Disney California Adventure, “World of Color – Season of Light” presented by Pandora Jewelry will be returning to Paradise Bay.
Some of the attractions will receive a seasonal overlay. “it’s a small world” will be getting a holiday addition, and Haunted Mansion Holiday will have it’s “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas” overlay. Previously we reported that there will be a virtual queue due to the construction in the area.
Radiator Springs in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure will also have a holiday overlay giving fresh cheer Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.
Disney Festival of Holidays and Disney ¡Viva Navidad!
Disney Festival of Holidays is returning to Disney California Adventure, celebrating Southern California through food, beverages, new and returning live entertainment, and more. Disney also announced that “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” cavalcade will be returning.
Disney teased the Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays merchandise collection, which can be found at Merchandise Marketplace and Elias & Co. in Disney California Adventure.
Disney Viva! Navidad! will be returning to Paradise Gardens at Disney California Adventure where guests can meet characters, craft, and enjoy live music. Viva! Navidad! Street Party will be returning on select days.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Opening at Disneyland Park On November 15
If all the holiday festivities don’t keep you busy Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be opening on November 15, 2024. This attraction opened previously in Walt Disney World.
