Xiaotui the magical recycle bin is now entertaining guests in Tomorrowland at Shanghai Disney Resort.
Xiaotui the Magical Recycle Bin
Shanghai Disney Resort has shared an Instagram Reel of the brand-new magical recycle bin, Xiaotui.
Ready for some “trash talk”? The recycle bin, Xiaotui, has magically come to life and is entertaining guests in Tomorrowland with its witty and engaging style!
The video begins with Cast Members confining Xiaotui to a tree. Despite their best efforts, the magical recycle bin has other ideas.
Shortly after the Cast Members leave Xiaotui, the friendly receptacle has broken free of its restraints and decides to head out and explore Shanghai Disneyland.
The recycle bin rolls its way toward Enchanted Storybook Castle, marveling at all Shanghai Disneyland has to offer.
Xiaotui makes its way over to a snack stand where one guest is enjoying a tasty treat. “I’m hungry,” the recycle bin exclaims. When the guest tries to feed it a wrapper, Xiaotui refuses it.
Xiaotui lets the guest know its preferred treat. The guest then finishes her water and puts the bottle in the recycle bin. Xiaotui thanks the guest for the bottle and makes satisfied eating noises.
You can check out what other shenanigans Xiaotui the magical recycle bin got up to at Shanghai Disney Resort by watching the full Instagram Reel.
Xiaotui the magical recycle bin is similar to PUSH the talking trash can which entertained Magic Kingdom visitors from 1995 to 2014. Like PUSH, Xiaotui will move around the park and interact with visitors even when they aren’t throwing out trash.
Electric Umbrella at EPCOT used to have a talking trash can, but the receptacle didn’t move around the park and only interacted with guests when they threw out their trash. After being briefly retired when Future World was gutted, the talking trash can reappeared at the Odyssey Pavilion in 2022.
