Domingo Pagan, 47, of Orlando faces multiple criminal charges and has pleaded not guilty, as he is scheduled to stand trial on January 21, 2025.

The situation unfolded on August 31, according to a recently released Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit. It often takes weeks to get public records which is why WDWNT is reporting on the arrest now.

“After being secured in handcuffs a spit mask was subsequently placed on Pagan for his and officers safety.  Pagan was searched at the front of my vehicle and briefly became unresponsive,” the deputy wrote in Pagan’s arrest report. “When he became responsive again he appeared as though he was going to throw up and so for Pagan’s safety, the spit mask was briefly removed from the area around his mouth.”

Freed from the spit mask, Pagan spat on the deputy’s arm.

Authorities put the spit mask back on him.

Pagan has been charged with two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence — which are all third-degree felonies. He is also charged with disorderly intoxication, a second-degree misdemeanor.

Pagan is currently represented by the Public Defender’s Office.

Earlier that month, another man was arrested for causing a scene at the concert venue at Disney Springs.

Ryan Tomasko, 38, of Wesley Chapel, was arrested for trespass, disorderly intoxication, and resisting an officer without violence during the incident on August 9.

Authorities said Tomasko locked his legs to avoid moving and squeezed down on the deputies’ arms who were holding him and guiding him out of Disney Springs. The scene happened in front of the crowd who was gathered to watch the summertime drone show, “Disney Dreams That Soar,” at the outdoor shopping and restaurant complex at Walt Disney World.
