Universal Orlando Resort has shared an operational update following this week’s Hurricane Milton closures.
Universal Orlando Reopening After Hurricane Milton
Universal Orlando Resort will reopen under normal operations on Friday, October 11. The following update was shared to the Universal Orlando website:
Our hearts are with all those impacted by Hurricane Milton, and we are dedicated to helping our community recovery. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Team Members, we will resume normal operations beginning on Friday, Oct. 11
Another update with more information was shared on Universal Orlando’s social media accounts, confirming that Halloween Horror Nights would resume as scheduled:

On Friday, Oct. 11, we look forward to welcoming back our guests as we return to our normal operation across all our theme parks, CityWalk and Halloween Horror Nights inclusive of Early Park Admission for Universal Orlando Hotel guests, Premier Passholders and Preferred Passholders

Universal Orlando Resort remains closed today, Thursday, October 10. This includes Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Volcano Bay water park, and Universal CityWalk. Halloween Horror Nights has also been cancelled for October 9 and 10. Resort hotels are still operational.
Guests with tickets to visit Universal Studios Florida or Universal Islands of Adventure on October 10, or Universal Volcano Bay on October 9-10 will be able to use their tickets to visit any other day through Wednesday, December 18, 2024. There will be no need to call ahead or visit Guest Services, guests can simply proceed to the entrance gate on the day of their choice and present their ticket for admission. The same goes for purchased Universal Express Passes.
All dining reservations scheduled during today’s closure at Universal Orlando will be cancelled. Impacted guests will receive a text message with a rebooking link if they’d like to reschedule for another date.
For Halloween Horror Nights, guests with tickets dated for October 9 or 10 will be able to use their tickets on any remaining night of the event without needing to call or visit Guest Services. Premier Passholders will have two additional nights to use their free, one-night admission entitlement to Halloween Horror Nights as a result of this week’s cancellations: October 16 and 17, 2024.
