“World of Color – Season of Light” has returned to Disney California Adventure for the 2024 holiday season. With it, a new “Moana 2” pre-show debuted.
‘Moana 2’ Pre-Show
The pre-show, called “Boat Snack,” features clips from the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios film projected onto water screens. The sequel is set three years after the first film and Moana now has a baby sister.
Moana answers a call from her wayfinding ancestors, reuniting with Maui to break a god’s curse and connect the people of the ocean. Auliʻi Cravalho returns as the voice of Moana, alongside Dwayne Johnson as Maui.
“Moana 2” will be in theaters on November 27, 2024.
A new Heihei straw clip was also released at Disneyland Resort.
‘World of Color – Season of Light’
This holiday water show features winter and holiday scenes from various classic Disney films like “Cinderella,” “Lady and the Tramp,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Fantasia.” It also has clips from modern favorites like “Frozen” and “Inside Out.”
There are also various scenes with Mickey & Friends, including a light show by Goofy.
“World of Color – Season of Light” will be performed daily at 9:00 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. through January 6, 2025. Performances are about 23 minutes.
There are reserved viewing areas with standing-room-only that guests can enter using a virtual queue or a voucher from a Dining Package or Dessert Party. Other viewing around Paradise Bay is first-come, first-serve.
Fire effects were restored to the show after being absent last year.
