Disney has announced the dates for the upcoming Disneyland 70th anniversary celebration, happening in 2025.
Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration Dates
The 70th anniversary of Disneyland Resort will kick off on May 16, 2025 and run through summer 2026. The event will include limited-time entertainment, colorful decor, themed food and beverages, collectible merchandise, and more.
Disneyland Park opened on July 17, 1955.
The Disneyland 70th event logo was first revealed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in August. The logo includes a purple “70” with pink castle turrets and a streak of multicolored stars.
Among the new offerings for the resort’s anniversary will be a new show featuring a Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic, first announced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. This show, titled “Walt Disney – A Magical Life,” will debut at the start of the anniversary event on May 16, 2025.
Disneyland also announced a new “World of Color” nighttime spectacular for Disney California Adventure and the return of Paint the Night, Wondrous Journeys fireworks, and “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration” parade.
Sleeping Beauty Castle will be decked out for the celebration with a new look, and Mickey & friends will get new costumes for a brand-new cavalcade and the anniversary in general. There will also be a special anniversary theme song, new, smaller-scale projection shows in both parks, and a new 70th anniversary merchandise collection.
Disneyland also shared its full event slate for 2025, including the return of Oogie Boogie Bash, Disneyland After Dark events, and more.
