Disneyland Resort has confirmed that new projection effects will be added to “Fire of the Rising Moons” in 2025.

Projection Effects Being Added to ‘Fire of the Rising Moons’

Fireworks burst in the night sky behind a mountain with purple lighting, creating a colorful display of red, yellow, and green lights.

The announcement comes amid a full slate of offerings coming next year for the 70th anniversary of Disneyland Resort.

The projection effects will be added to the fireworks spectacular as part of Season of the Force, which will run from March 28 through May 11, 2025. The show also includes galactic music enhanced with fireworks on select nights. “Fire of the Rising Moons” itself will perform nightly.

This confirmation comes after Disneyland filed four permits in regards to adding projectors to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in November 2024.

“Fire of the Rising Moons” first debuted in April 2024 as part of Season of the Force at Disneyland Park. The show has been adapted to fit the seasonally changing fireworks shows at the park during its run. So far, it has been offered in three different versions. In May 2024, a modified R1-series droid named Bard was added to the show.

The 70th anniversary celebration of Disneyland Resort kicks off on May 16, 2025 and will run through summer 2026.
