A different part of Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is now closed for repainting the bioluminescent pavement.

People walk along a pathway beneath a large, suspended rock formation, surrounded by lush greenery and trees. Some individuals are seated, and strollers are visible in the scene.

The walkways and bridge that cut through the land in front of Na’vi River Journey are now closed.

They are blocked by temporary green barriers at all of their entrances.

The walkways usually allow guests to explore the nature of Pandora, including alien plants and water features. Paths remain open on the other side of the land, closer to Avatar Flight of Passage.

Crews are repainting the purposeful cracks and designs in the pavement. The glow-in-the-dark paint gets worn down as guests walk on the paths, so is refreshed periodically.

The paved sidewalks are designed to look like flattened dirt covered in moss and featuring plant prints.

Work is done on the walkway that was closed in late January. Barriers are down from this area.
