Walt Disney Imagineering filed a permit for signage at the new Disney Vacation Club lounge under construction in Magic Kingdom.

The permit is to “Install signage” at 4859 Caribbean Way #C, which approximately corresponds with the location of the former Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade. It contracts Design Communications Ltd., a frequent Disney collaborator that Disney also recently contracted for new Test Track signage and “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” signage.

The Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade, an opening day Magic Kingdom attraction, closed permanently last June for construction of the new Disney Vacation Club lounge. The Shootin’ Arcade sign was removed soon after.

Disney announced in November that the lounge would be called Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House — A Member Lounge, named after Disney Legend Sam McKim, whose contributions to Disneyland included inspirational sketches of Slue Foot Sue’s Golden Horseshoe Revue in Frontierland.

Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House will be “a cozy and convenient retreat for Members to share stories and recharge during their day of fun.” It’s scheduled to open this summer.
