There is new furniture in the lobby of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, while some of the remaining old pieces have been reupholstered.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Lobby
The circular bench at the lobby entrance has new upholstery. The green bolster pillows appear the same, although may have been replaced. The bench seats have new pink velvet upholstery, replacing red zig-zag-striped fabric.
The backs also have a new floral pattern. It’s similar to the old pattern but with more colors, including blue and red. The previous pattern was mostly pale pink and green.

Further into the lobby, there are three sections of seating — each separated by planters and decorations — across from the check-in desks. In the first section, a four-legged end table was replaced with a one-legged table. Gone is a bench and instead, there is a new blue armchair with a round back.
The other two armchairs in this space have been reupholstered. They were previously green but are now the same blue as the first chair. The brown couch has been replaced with a brand new couch, also blue. And the low coffee table was replaced with a trefoil-shaped (almost like a Mickey head) blue-green ottoman.

In the second section, the high-backed brown armchairs are the same as before, although may have been reupholstered. They look fresh and clean.
These couches have been replaced. They have blue-green upholstery, with rounded seats that slightly jut forward. The throw pillows feature a pink grid design and green stripes. This space’s rectangular coffee table was replaced with a circular table.

In the last section, the two light brown armchairs remain the same. There is another new blue couch, though, the same shape as the first. This couch is adorned with red-striped and yellow floral pillows.
There were previously two green armchairs by the fireplace. Now there is one blue armchair, next to a four-legged glass-topped end table.
Instead of one large coffee table, there are now two one-legged tables. There’s also a new trefoil-shaped ottoman in front of the fireplace.
But don’t worry — the infamous “Nanny Chairs” remain stationed on either side of the fireplace. These human-inspired chairs are replicas of old carousel seats designed for adults to sit on while kids rode the animals.
For comparison, below are two photos of the lobby prior to these furniture updates.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Villas have been going through a years-long renovation. The lobby was remodeled two years ago. In 2022, The Belle Vue Lounge received new furniture. Carousel Coffee, with its own seating area, replaced Dundy’s Sundries. Guest rooms were remodeled.
Outside, the actual boardwalk has had several business changes. It was recently confirmed Jellyrolls will close. Big River Grille and Brewing Works closed last year. Since 2022, BoardWalk Deli, BoardWalk Ice Cream, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, and The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers have all opened, replacing old offerings.
